Reproduction Furniture
Here are some examples of reproduction furniture I have created at the request of customers. My approach to reproduction furniture is to always to match the original piece right down to the minute details, always employing quality craftsmanship.
This chair is made of Blackwood and is one of two made to increase a set of chairs that had been made by the client's grandfather.
These to Edwardian chairs were commissioned to increase an existing set. They were made out of walnut, hand carved and polished and aged to match the existing set. The dining table pictured with the chairs has also been restored by Steven.
This is a copy of a chair made by Joseph Sly, a renowned cabinet maker between 1835 and 1861.
The reproduction was commissioned by a customer who had five originals but required a set of six. It is made out of Australian red cedar. Although looking like a simple design, the many slight angles involved in this chair made it a complex chair to reproduce.
This Blackwood wine table is one of a pair which was made to match an original that the client had.
These ten chairs were commissioned for Yaloak Estate. They arm made out of Oak, salvaged from a fallen tree in Kyneton.
